Hailing from Short Gap, West Virginia, Raines began playing bass and touring professionally as a teenager. Today she is a respected bluegrass musician, playing both straight-ahead bluegrass and more progressive forms of music. Come if you dare! Thrills and Chills for the whole family. All spooky sets are created and haunted by local volunteers and all proceeds go to the renovation of the Ransom Stiles House into a Community Center for Argyle. The Stiles House is a beautiful example of Federal Style architecture, rumored to be part of the Underground Railroad in Washington County since owner, Ransom Stiles was an abolitionist. According to "interesting" happenings that have been observed, the house could be truly haunted. Find out for yourself!

Antje Duvekot was born in Heidelberg, Germany and is a singer-songwriter and guitarist based in Somerville, Massachusetts. She holds three top songwriting awards including the Kerrville New Folk Competition's Best New Folk Award, Boston Music Award for Outstanding Folk Act, and Grand Prize in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest.

On November 4th, we’ll do a Gram Parsons open Jam in honor of his birthday on the 5th. Super casual. Parsons was born in Winter Haven, Florida, and developed an interest in country music while attending Harvard University. He founded the International Submarine Band in 1966 and, after several months of delay, their debut album Safe at Home was released in 1968 (by which time the group had disbanded). Parsons joined The Byrds in early 1968, and played a pivotal role in the making…

So cheese share will be November the 11th. Anyone interested in participating is encouraged to bring a nice hunk of cheese to add to the board, at least a half pound total of cheese. Good local cheese or interesting unique cheeses are particularly encouraged, as this is a share in which we hope to further encourage passion for the cheeses of the world and widen peoples’ exposure to new styles.
